Mazda Miata 94-05 Auminum Differential Housing Reinforcement Brace Plate

Will NOT work on 90-93 Miata Differential Housings. Do NOT order for 90-93 Miata with factory 1.6L differential.

The 94-05 Miata Diff housing is designed to break in the event of an impact at a certain point on the right side of the diff housing where a divot is placed in the cast aluminum.
While beneficial in the event of an accident on the street, this weak link is undesirable in a high performance or racing environment.
The last photo in the set of photos shows how the housing can break if it is NOT reinforced.

This set of Aluminum reinforcement plates are intended to be welded onto the factory Mazda rear differential housing on a 94-05 differential and strengthen the housing so that it will not break in this factory designed weak point.

These reinforcement brace plates are specially designed for the 1994-2005 Mazda Miata rear differential housing.

These plates require welding by a professional welder with a TIG welding machine. **
Brace plates must be welded to the differential housing in order to function as intended.
